I obviously failed miserably at keeping my New Years resolution to post more on my blog… Ive also only been to the gym once this year and that took a lot of peer pressure. Ive been absorbed with applying to Grad School, projects for my children’s school and an attempt at learning how to relax and taking some mental health days (that last one is slow going).

The good news is that Ive been accepted to the Philadelphia Academy of the Fine Arts (PAFA) to obtain my Masters degree! Woo! Starting this summer I will be going back and forth between Savannah and Philly doing grad work, which I am thoroughly pumped about.

Ive also been invited to participate in this years “Tiny Trifecta” at the Cotton Candy Machine in Brooklyn opening June 6…. I will be there toting children and all so I hope to see some old buddies that weekend.

Some things Ive done (or am doing) lately:

I made this psychotic hat for one of my children, as they need a hat with one hundred things on it for their 100th day of school.

End of the Year Wrap up

I think the craziness of the last month of the year was appropriate for 2013. It will be forever remembered in my mind as the “year of extremes”… the best worst year ever.  December was terrific however, and Im glad to end it on a high note…

The latest…

Its been an exciting couple months and busy to say the least…. I have a new record cover in the works,  Ill be at the Big Crafty in Asheville, NC (yeah!) on July 7th, aaaaand this September I will be showing new work and collaborations with miss Juliana Peloso at the Butcher Gallery in downtown Savannah, as well as a few other projects in the works…. eek. I hope to get through it all without too many nervous breakdowns….

What a weekend

Its been a crazy couple weeks, but I got to go to a beautiful wedding, make a couple new things, and participate with my fellow co-op members in Beaufort’s Antiques and Artisans Market … phew

our booth… aside from what I would consider the “great insect onslaught of 2013” it was a seriously beautiful day.

The Holidays are Nigh

And I am in full Holiday panic mode. I am cooking a whole Turkey myself this year and considering I tend to destroy meat I am slightly nervous about it.

But I did manage to get a few things done, and I participated in Desotorow’s Junk in the trunk show the other day (thanks again to everyone who made it out!).

It was very cold.

First Friday

Tonight ReCreate and Fabrika Fine Fabrics will be hosting First Friday in the Heart of the District. ReCreate (10 W. Liberty Street) will be having an art reception for Amanda Price as well as displaying work from local artists and Fabrika (2 East Liberty Street) will be having an Open House also with local art and goodies…. from 6-9. New Things

This weekend Im going to bring over some new things to wear round your neck to ReCreate (10 W. Liberty Street, Savannah GA) and HOPEFULLY if I can get my act together I will have some screen printed, hand embroidered goods as well. Additionally, If I can super get my act together there will be limited edition giclee prints both at recreate and on my Etsy shop starting next week. What else. Also working on some small paintings and textiles this week…  and soon I will make myself crazy working on some large scale drawings on paper (Im excited though)

OH and I will be included in Gallery Le Snoots “Three Little Prints” show which I believe opens on the 26th of october… (more on that later, excited about that as well)
